1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/4 C. water
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. dried oregano
1/4 tsp. dried basil leaves
1/4 tsp. dried thyme
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. salt
One eighth tsp. black pepper
1 whole bay leaf
1/2 tsp. lemon juice

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat until sauce starts to boil. Lower heat and simmer, covered, for 30 to 45 minutes.
