Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Bunnies image

Chocolate covered marshmallow bunnies with a cute candy face makes an adorable center piece for your holiday tables.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 package Peeps marshmallow bunnies
1 cup dark chocolate melting chocolate (Ghirardelli)
1 teaspoon shortening
12 pink Pearl candies (SweetWorks)
pink sugar sprinkles
24 candy eyes
12 paper straws
toothpicks
Spring colored Sixlets (SweetWorks)

Steps:

  • Melt the chocolate and shortening according to the package directions. Press a straw into each bunny bottom. Spoon the melted chocolate over the entire bunny. Be careful your chocolate isn't too hot. Lay each chocolate covered bunny on a wax paper lined tray. Let set.
  • Use a toothpick to dip in the chocolate and add small dots to the faces. Press 2 eyes and 1 pink Pearl candy on each bunny face. Use the toothpick to spread chocolate on the ears. Sprinkle with the pink sugar. Draw on chocolate whiskers with the toothpick. Let set.
  • Place the Sixlets in a clear glass jar and press the straws into the candies to make a fun centerpiece. Makes 12 chocolate covered bunnies.
