Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies image

This recipe makes nice soft cookies. It is not a crumbly dry cookie. The combination of peanut butter with the milk chocolate is extra tasty.

1 c smooth peanut butter like jiff or skippy
1 c softened butter
1/2 c granulated sugar
1 c packed dark brown sugar
2 eggs
11/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 c all purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powdet
2 c good quality milk chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1. Mix peanut butter, butter and both sugars in a bowl until smooth.
  • 2. Add in the eggs and vanilla. Beat on low until combined well.
  • 3. In another bowl. Sift the flour, salt and baking powder.
  • 4. Add half of sifted mixture to peanut butter mixture. Beat together on low. Add remaining flour. Mixture. Beat together on low until no traces of flour show.
  • 5. Add chocolate chips. Mix together well.
  • 6. Chill dough in refrigerator for 2- 3 hours.
  • 7. Heat oven to 350 degree's.
  • 8. Make twelve 2 inch balls from dough. Refrigerate remaining dough until 1st batch is baked.
  • 9. Place balls on parchment lined pan or ungreased sheet pan.
  • 10. Press on cookie balls with a fork lengthwise and widthwise.
  • 11. Bake at 350 degree's 12 minutes or until bottoms of cookies are browned. Let cool on pan 5 -10 minutes before moving to rack to finish cooling.
