Steps:
- Set out your butter before you start making the cookies so it has a chance to warm up and soften. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Measure flour, salt and baking soda in a small bowl, whisk and set aside. - . In a mixer blend butter and sugars on medium speed for 2-3-minutes till light and fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla and water and mix till blended well being sure to scrap the sides of the bowl. Add dry ingredients and beat slowly till just combined. Add chocolate chips and oatmeal and fold in slowly till just combined. Do not overstir. Drop by scoopful on cookies sheet. (if it is a warm day you can pop the cookie sheet in the refrigerator for a few minutes to keep cookies from spreading out too much). Bake for 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees. Allow cookies to cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack. Enjoy!
