This is a quick to prepare BBQ sauce with a hint of maple flavor. Just mix it all in the blender, blend well and brush on ribs, chicken, or whatever you choose.

Number Of Ingredients 17

2 cup(s) tomato ketchup or 1 cup ketchup and 1 cup sweet baby ray's bbq sauce
2 tablespoon(s) worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon(s) soy sauce
2 teaspoon(s) dijon mustard
2 tablespoon(s) brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon(s) onion powder
2 tablespoon(s) rice vinegar
2 - 3 teaspoon(s) liquid smoke flavoring
1 teaspoon(s) mccormick smokehouse maple grill mates seasoning
2 - 3 clove(s) garlic (more if you like)
1 - onion, cut into quarters or smaller
1/4 teaspoon(s) allspice
1/2 teaspoon(s) dried thyme
1 - 2 tablespoon(s) smoked paprika
2 teaspoon(s) lemon juice
1 - chipotle pepper in adobo sauce (if you want more, go ahead and add more)
1/2 - 1 teaspoon(s) red pepper flakes, if desired

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients in blender and blender for about 45 seconds to 1 minute. Use on ribs, chicken or whatever you choose. (When I cook ribs, I slowly boil ribs first in beef or chicken broth or a mixture of both until ribs are almost done, about an 1 - 1 1/2 hours, then I place them on the grill and brush with BBQ sauce until browned and falling off the bone. I got that tip from Sandra Lee on Food Network).
