Chicken With Citrus Sauce image

Be sure to mix the corn starch into the juices before adding honey. It's just easier that way.

Number Of Ingredients 13

2 - chicken( 4 oz) breasts, cut into bite size pieces
- salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoon(s) olive oil
2 clove(s) garlic, minced
1/2 cup(s) onion, chopped
1/2 cup(s) orange juice, no pulp
3 tablespoon(s) pineapple juice
2 tablespoon(s) lime juice
2 tablespoon(s) honey
1/2 - lemon, juice of
1 teaspoon(s) corn starch or enough to make the sause as thick as you like it
1/2 teaspoon(s) ginger, ground
1 teaspoon(s) cilantro, fresh

Steps:

  • Salt and pepper the chicken. Heat oil in a heavy skillet and brown chicken, cooking all the way through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and keep warm.
  • Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook just long enough for onions to become soft.
  • Turn heat to high under skillet and add orange juice, lemon juice, lime juice, pineapple juice, corn starch, honey, cilantro and ginger.
  • Cook stirring frequently until sauce starts to thicken. Turn the heat to a low simmer and add chicken to the skillet stirring just to cover chicken in sauce. Serve.
