CHICKEN ADOBO - A FILIPINO DISH image

An island favorite - a tradional filipino dish that is loved by all.

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 lb chicken thighs, deboned, cut into serving pieces
1/2 c white vinegar
1/2 c shoyu (soy sauce)
1/4 tsp peppercorns, crushed
2 tsp brown sugar
5 clove fresh garlic, crushed
3 bay leaves

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients in a medium pot. Cover, bring to boil, lower heat to simmer for 45 minutes.
  • 2. Uncover the pot and let simmer for 15 more minutes. Serve with hot rice, YUM!
  • 3. Almost any meat, pork, chicken, fish, vegetables shellfish, etc. can be cooked adobo style.
