Cheesy Baked Vidalias image

Number Of Ingredients 5

5 Vidalia onions, peeled
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup crushed crouton
1 stick butter, melted
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Quarter each onion, cutting only 2/3 of the way through. Put onions in a baking dish with water. Sprinkle with crushed croutons. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Pour melted butter over onions, making sure to let it sink down into the onion. Bake uncovered in 350° oven about 30 minutes, until tender. Top with Cheddar cheese; return to oven until melted.
