Cheeseburger Pie image

A hit with the kids, this is simple and uses ingredients you probably already have waiting. TIP: if you have a large crowd or want leftovers, use one whole can of crescents for each top and bottom crust, and increase beef to 1 1/2 pounds

Categories     Burgers

Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 lb lean ground beef, drained
seasoning for beef: salt, pepper, onion, garlic, parsley, etc
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1 can(s) crescent rolls, halved
Lots of cheddar cheese
eggwash

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350. Brown, season, and drain beef. Stir in soup.
  • 2. Unroll crescents into two halves. Butter bottom of dish and press half (4 triangles) into bottom of dish, spreading as even as possible and pressing seams together. Bake for 5 minutes.
  • 3. Layer half the beef mixure, cheddar cheese, rest of beef, more cheese.
  • 4. Place remaining crescents on top, stretching over to make a crust. Press seams, poke holes to vent, and brush with eggwash. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until top is brown and crescents are no longer raw.
