Cheeseburger Loaf image

My son just loves when I make this. His favorite thing to eat is cheeseburgers..it is easy, and made with refrigerated bread dough...It is a very tasty sandwich for those cheeseburger lovers!

Number Of Ingredients 12

3/4 lb ground beef
1/2 c onion. chopped
1 small green or red pepper, chopped
2 clove garlic, minced
2 Tbsp all purpose flour
2 Tbsp dijon mustard
1 Tbsp ketchup
1 tube ( 11 oz ) pillsbury refrigerated crusty french loaf
4 slice american cheese, or whatever you prefer
1 egg white, lightly beaten
3 Tbsp shredded parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Gather ingredients Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • 2. In a large skillet, cook the beef, onion and pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Stir in flour,salt, pepper, mustard and ketchup; set aside.
  • 3. Unroll dough starting at the seam. Pat into a 14 inch x 12 inch rectangle. Spoon meat mixture lengthwise down the center of the dough; top with cheese slices. Bring long sides of dough to the center over filling; pinch seams to seal.
  • 4. Place seam side down on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Brush with the egg white. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. With a sharp knife, cut diagonal slits in the top of the loaf. Bake for 25 - 30 minutes or until golden brown.
