Cheeseburger Chowder image

A delicious and hearty winter meal. You can easily cut this in half for a smaller portion. This size provides the three of us with 2 dinners and a lunch.

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 lbs ground beef
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
4 cups potatoes, diced
3 beef bouillon cubes
3 cups water
6 tablespoons flour
4 cups milk
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef in large pot. Drain off grease. Add potatos, onions, peppers, celery, salt and bouillon cubes. Pour in water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Whisk flour into milk and slowly pour into pot with meat and vegetables. Stir until soup is thickened slightly. Mix in cheese and stir until melted.
