6 Slices Bacon
1 pound burger
1 pound hot italian sausage
1 large onion, chopped
1 bell pepper (green), chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup dark red wine
1 tsp. hot dry mustard
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 15 oz can kidney beans
1 15 oz can pinto beans
1 jalapeno pepper diced
1/2 cup worchestershire
1 tsp. celery seeds
2 tsp. pepper
6 cups canned diced petite tomoatoes

Steps:

  • Brown bacon in a large soup pot. Remove and drain leaving a film of grease. Brown sausage in bacon grease. Remove and place with bacon then drain leaving a film of grease. Brown burger in sausage grease. Remove and place with bacon and sausage leaving a film of grease. Cook onions, bell pepper, garlic, and jalapeno over low heat in the burger grease for 2-3 minutes. Stir in wine and worchestershire, simmer uncovered for 10 minutes. Stir in mustard, celery seed, chilli powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes more. Add tomatoes, meat, and beans to the onion mixture. Heat to boiling then reduce and simmer covered for 30 minutes, stirring occasionaly. Reduce heat cover and simmer for 1 hour.
