Carob Chip Cookies image

I found this recipe on a cooking show by Michelle Wilson titled "Low Fat No Fat Recipes." Carob is sooo much better for you than chocolate. Still, these cookies taste distinctly like carob, so they are really for carob lovers.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 banana
1 cup dates
1 cup soymilk or 1 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups old fashioned oats
1 cup carob chips
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Place banana, dates, soy milk or water, vanilla, & salt in blender & mix until smooth.
  • Put oats, carob chips & walnuts in a large bowl & mix.
  • Add blended mixture to bowl & mix well.
  • Form into cookies.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes.
