Steps:
- 1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the onions, turn the heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes.
- 2. Stir in mushrooms and cook for another 15-30 minutes until onions are golden brown.
- 3. Add salt and pepper. Stir in the wine and raise heat to high; simmer until most of the wine has evaporated.
- 4. Add the heavy cream; simmer and stir for a few minutes until thickened. Stir in parsley remove from heat. Serve over prepared pasta of choice.
