Bushwacker image

The Bushwacker was first created in 1975 at a pub in St. Thomas (Virgin Islands). It tastes like a creamy, chocolate version of the classic PiƱa Colada. There's quite a lot going on in the Bushwacker, with its array of different liquors that contribute a specific element to the drink. But the coconut adds a tropical colada...

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 cup ice cubes
1 1/2 oz kahlua (coffee liqueur)
1 1/2 oz dark creme de cacao (or other chocolate-flavored liqueurs such as godiva)
1 oz vodka
1 oz dark rum
1 oz amaretto liqueur
1 oz cream of coconut
OPTIONAL GARNISHES
whipped cream
1 maraschino cherry

Steps:

  • 1. Add ice cubes to a blender. Pour Kahlua, Creme de Cacao, vodka, rum, Amaretto and cream of coconut over the ice. Blend for 20 to 30 seconds or until thick and frothy.
  • 2. Pour into a chilled hurricane glass. Top with whipped cream and then garnish with a cherry. Add a straw, and serve immediately.
