Burrito Bites image

This recipe came from a church cookbook. I cannot remember who submitted the recipe, but I made it for Halloween one year and it became a hit with my family. I like it served with salsa, but most of the family just eat it without the salsa

Number Of Ingredients 5

16 ounce(s) cream cheese
1 package(s) taco seasoning mix
1 can(s) chopped green chile peppers, drained
1 pound(s) ground beef
1 package(s) 10-inch flour tortillas

Steps:

  • Cook ground beef with a little bit of the taco seasoning and drain.
  • While the meat is cooking, mix cream cheese, chopped green chile peppers, and the remaining taco seasoning mix.
  • Once meat is cooked and drained, add to the cream cheese mixture. Stir until mixed well.
  • Take a spoonful of the mixture and spread on a tortilla, end to end (enough to taste but not too much, because when you roll the tortilla, the mixture will come out of the end.
  • Continue until the mixture or the tortillas are gone. Roll the tortillas up.
  • Cut into bite-sized pieces.
  • Helpful hint: They are easier to cut after have they have been chilled in the refrigerator for at least one hour. Wrapping the tortillas in wet paper towels will keep them from drying out.
