Brussel Sprouts with Streaky Rashers image

When I was in Ireland over Thanksgiving 2011, my friend made these for our "American Thanksgiving Feast".

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 package(s) brussel sprouts, frozen
1 small onion, chopped
6 slice(s) bacon diced (or streaky rashers)

Steps:

  • Boil the brussel sprouts in water until fork tender.
  • Meanwhile, saute the bacon (known as streaky rashers in Ireland) and onion in a skillet.
  • When brussel sprouts are tender, drain well and dump into the pan with the onions & bacon. Saute a bit and serve. This recipe is totally flexible. Add more or less of the ingredients to suite your tastes.
