Brioche French Toast image

Serve this Brioche French Toast for an indulgent breakfast that tastes as good as dessert! This light and fluffy recipe puts an amazing spin on classic French Toast.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 1/2 cups milk
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
A pinch of salt
1 tablespoon butter for pan-frying the bread (add more if needed)
6 slices of dry brioche bread, sliced an inch thick
1/4 cup butter
6 tablespoons maple syrup (add more if preferred)

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a bowl, whisk milk, eggs, vanilla extract, sugar, nutmeg, and salt.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add 1 ½ teaspoons of butter and wait until hot and melted.
  • While waiting, dip the brioche slices in the custard mixture.
  • Place the bread into the skillet and cook each side for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden. You may add more butter if needed.
  • Transfer the cooked toast onto a baking sheet.
  • Bake the toast for 8 to 10 minutes.
  • While waiting, add ¼ cup of butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Stir for 3 to 5 minutes or until it browns.
  • Pour the browned butter all over the baked toast and top with maple syrup.
