Most people who know this treat, will think of Brazilian children's birthday parties. I like to think of them as an occasional indulgence. You can eat this filling as is, or you can roll them up and cover them in anything! Much love.. -Amber

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 can(s) sweetened condensed milk
3 tablespoon(s) cocoa powder
1 tablespoon(s) butter
1/2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
- various things to roll them in ( toasted coconut, sprinkles, nuts)

Steps:

  • Put all your ingredients except for the toppings into a pot, or microwave safe bowl.
  • Turn the stove on medium/high heat and stir very often until everything comes together and is very thick. When you stir the bottom the line you make should stay visible. The mixture is very forgiving as long as u watch it. (if you're using the microwave step 3 is your step 2 then continue from there)
  • Stir everything, set timer for 1 minute it will bubble up stir it, put back for another minute, stir, another minute, stir, it should be thick enough but probably not. you can always take a bit out with a spoon put it in the freezer for about 5 mins if it seems thick enough to handle take the rest out, and put it in the fridge to cool.
  • Once cooled you can roll into balls and decorate, eat as is, or use as a cake filling. The possibilities are endless!
