Blueberry Meringue Pie image

My family loves blueberries and I love the Blueberry Sour Cream Pie that I tasted at Marie Callendar's many years ago, so I developed my own version; and we absolutely love it!

Time 50m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 can(s) blueberry pie filling
1 pkg 8 ounces of cream cheese
1 1/2 c sour cream
1 baked 9 inch pie shell
3 egg whites for meringue

Steps:

  • 1. Whip together the sour cream and cream cheese. Spread evenly over the bottom of the pie shell. Pour the can of blueberry (or any favorite fruit filling)into the pie shell and spread evenly.
  • 2. Make the meringue for a 9 inch pie shell, and spread that evenly over the top, creating swirls and peaks as desired.
  • 3. Bake at 350 degrees until peaks and swirls are lightly browned (from 10-20 minutes-so watch!). Remove from oven, and cool away from drafts. When pie has cooled completely, store-covered-in the refrigerator.
