I DO REMEMBER HER MAKING THEM ON OCCASION AND OF COURSE THEY WERE VERY GOOD...ALTHOUGH...I PREFER MILK CHOCOLATE...I GUESS THESE ARE ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE THAT DON'T LIKE CHOCOLATE...

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare baking pan by spraying it with nonstick cooking spray. Melt butter over low heat and set aside to cool. In a large mixing bowl beat eggs until light. Add corn syrup. Add brown sugar. Then add butter and continue to beat with electric mixer until well combined. Sift together flour and baking powder. Stir into egg mixture and add vanilla and nuts. Spread into prepared 8x8x2" pan. Bake in 350 degree F oven 25 minutes or until top has a dull crust. Cool and cut into squares. Makes 16 - 2" servings.
