Blond Brownies a la mode image

A great accompaniment to this decadent brownie is Vanilla Bean Ice Cream or a dollop of whipped cream! Decadence at its best!

Number Of Ingredients 11

3/4 cup(s) butter, softened
2 cup(s) brown sugar
4 - eggs
2 teaspoon(s) vanilla
2 cup(s) flour
2 teaspoon(s) baking powder
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1 1/2 cup(s) pecans, chopped
1 cup(s) maple syrup
2 tablespoon(s) butter
1/4 cup(s) evaporated milk

Steps:

  • In large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs; one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Stir in pecans.
  • Spread into a greased 9 x 13" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Maple Cream Sauce: Combine syrup and butter in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for three minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in milk. Pour over brownies. Cut brownies into squares; cut in half, if desired. Top with ice cream or whipped cream; sprinkle with pecans. ENJOY!!
