Bisquick Coffee Cake Revised image

Based on the Bisquick recipe on the box, but with a few changes that we like. Easy to make and great with coffee on the weekends.

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 cups Bisquick baking mix
2 tablespoons sugar
7/8 cup milk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Stir together sugar and baking mix.
  • Add milk, eggs, and vanilla and mix well.
  • Spread into 9x9 pan coated with vegetable oil spray.
  • Place butter and brown sugar into microwave safe cup and heat until mixture looks "slushy.".
  • Sprinkle pecans over the cake mix and then sprinkle/spread the butter and brown sugar mixture on top of the pecans.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before serving.
