BARLEY BURGER STEW image

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 lb ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1/4 C chopped celery
2-1/4 C tomato juice
1/2 C water
1/4 C med pearl Barley
1 to 1-1/2 t chili powder
1/2 t salt
1/4 t pepper

Steps:

  • In sauce pan over med heat, cook beef, onion and celery until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in tomato juice, water, barley, chili powder,salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 50-60 min or until barley is tender
