Baked Crab Dip with Bacon image

This is from a flyer I had from a grocery store. I have made this a few times for parties. It was a big hit. I hope you all enjoy it.

Number Of Ingredients 10

6 - slices chopped bacon cooked
1 tablespoon(s) bacon drippings
8 ounce(s) cream cheese
3 - chopped scallions( green onion)
1 - sautéed bell pepper
12 ounce(s) fresh cooked crab or canned
1 teaspoon(s) cajun seasoning
1 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
1/4 cup(s) cream
1/4 cup(s) panko bread crumbs

Steps:

  • Cook bacon until crisp. Remove and drain on paper towels. Save 1 tablespoon of bacon drippings in pan.
  • Add the scallions and pepper to the tablespoon of drippings and sauté.
  • Mix cream cheese and Crab meat, cream , pepper and scallions, lemon juice , seasoning, and bacon.
  • Place in oven in a casserole or glass oven proof dish. Top with Panko bread crumbs. Bake at 400 for 30 minutes. Serve with Bagettes, or toasted french bread, or your choice of breads.
