Yield 24 Pieces

Number Of Ingredients 5

24 small fresh sage leaves
24 large dried apricots
8 slices bacon, cut crosswise into thirds
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
Toothpicks, for serving

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375F. Place a sage leaf on each apricot, wrap with a piece of bacon, and place seam-side down on a baking sheet. Bake until the bacon is beginning to crisp, 6 to 8 minutes per side. Remove from oven and brush with the maple syrup. Serve with toothpicks. Make-Ahead Strategy: The apricots can be assembled and frozen, unbaked, up to 1 month in advance. Freeze them on a parchment-lined baking sheet until firm, then transfer them to a resealable plastic bag. To cook, bake from frozen at 375F for 8 to 10 minutes per side; keep warm at 250F. Brush with the maple syrup before serving.
