This recipe was handed down to me by my father. His father used to make it for him when he was a boy. You could subsitute the meat for pork, chicken or even vension. Goes good with fresh baked bread or rolls.

Steps:
- 1. Brown meat and onion in skillet. Drain any grease.
- 2. In a cooking pot add all ingredients except for the asparagus and cook for 1/2 hour on medium to low heat (do not boil)
- 3. Wash and cut up the asparagus into bite size pieces.
- 4. After 1/2 hour is up add the aparagus to the pot and continue to cook for another 1/2 hour or until vegetable is done.
