APPLESAUCE COOKIES Recipe - (4.3/5) image

Number Of Ingredients 15

1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. white sugar (1 should be ok)
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs OR 1/2 cup extra apple sauce OR 2 tbsp soya/ gram flour + 2 tbsp water
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. applesauce
4 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
raisins (optional)
chopped nuts (optional)

Steps:

  • Mix together and drop by teaspoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes. ** Cream butter, shortening & sugar. Stir in egg & applesauce. Makes about 5 dozen.
