Steps:
- Melt butter in large skillet, add apples, cook and stir for 5 min. Add brown sugar, water & finn. and continue to cook and stir for 10 min. until apples are tender.. Spoon mixture into 13x9" baking dish. Cover apples with bread slices, trimming to fit and covering entire surface. (I trimmed crusts). Beat eggs until foamy, then beat in milk & vanilla. Pour eggs over bread. Cover, refrigerate overnight. In morning, take out of fridge while oven preheats to 375. Bake uncovered 35' or until bread is golden and firm. Let stand 10'. Turn out onto large platter, serve with maple syrup and/or whipped cream or all of the aboe and a good cup of Starbucks.
