Apple Butterscotch Cake image

A delicious, moist Bundt cake combining the wonderful flavors of apples and butterscotch.

Number Of Ingredients 11

3 c flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 c sugar
4 eggs
1 c oil
1/4 c orange juice
2 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 c chopped walnuts
2 c apples, peeled, cored and chopped
1 c butterscotch chips

Steps:

  • 1. Sift together dry ingredients; set aside.
  • 2. In a large bowl, combine sugar, eggs, oil, orange juice and vanilla. Beat on high speed of an electric mixer until blended. Beat in flour mixture. Fold in chopped walnuts.
  • 3. Pour 1/3 rd of batter into a greased and floured 10 inch Bundt pan.
  • 4. Mix together chopped apples and butterscotch chips and sprinkle 1/2 of mixture over batter in pan. Repeat layers, ending with batter.
  • 5. Bake in 350 degree oven for 55-60 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
  • 6. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
