Apple Biscuits image

This is an amazing breakfast dish enjoyed with coffee or served as a desert with ice cream. Served warm or cold it will not disappoint!

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 1/2 peeled, diced, divided apple
1 10 ounce(s) canned flaky biscuit
1 tablespoon(s) butter
1/3 cup(s) packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
1/3 cup(s) light corn syrup
1 large egg
GLAZE
1/2 cup(s) powdered sugar
1 teaspoon(s) orange juice
1 teaspoon(s) grated orange rind

Steps:

  • Butter a 9 inch cake pan, sides and bottom generously.
  • In a small separate bowl combine butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, corn syrup and egg. Mix until sugar is partially dissolved.
  • Arrange apples on bottom of butter pan. Pour sugar mixture over apples.
  • Separate 1 can of flaky biscuits into 10 biscuits, cutting each into 4 pieces. Arrange over apple mixture point sides up.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes depending on oven until deep golden brown. Cool 5 minutes. Mix glaze and drizzle over the biscuits while warm. Store leftovers covered in refrigerator.
