Addictive Fried Pickles image

Made these today for my son's girlfriend and could not stop eating them! After making the first jar of pickles had to go to the store and get two more jars lol!! I had these with homemade chipotle ranch. Actually quick to make and so good!

Number Of Ingredients 11

1~16 ounce(s) jar hamburger dill chips
1/2 cup(s) flour
1/4 cup(s) beer
3/4 cup(s) buttermilk
1 1/4 teaspoon(s) paprika
1 1/4 teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) pepper
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
2 teaspoon(s) garlic salt
2 dash(es) tabasco hot sauce
- canola oil for frying

Steps:

  • Heat 2 inches of oil in a medium saucepan over medium high heat until ready for frying.
  • In medium bowl, mix all ingredients except for pickles until well blended and you have a slightly thick batter.
  • Drain pickles and take a small handful and drop into batter. You do not want to get much pickle juice in batter or it will get too thin. One by one, take out of batter and let the excess drip off and then drop pickles in hot oil. Drop from close above oil so the oil does not splash. Do not overcrowd the pan because the pickles will start to stick together.
  • Fry batch of pickles until a nice golden brown. Remove from oil with a slotted spoon to a plate covered with paper towels. Repeat process with remaining pickles. Serve hot with Ranch or Chipotle Ranch dip. Enjoy!
