7 LAYER BROWNIE BARS image

Easy, decadent, and only 1 pan--no bowls, etc. I found this on the Ghiradelli brownie mix box. New take on the old 7 layer bars. Husband and co-workers loved them. One difference for me--I used 2 cups of chocolate chips and no butterscotch--hubby does not like butterscotch.

Time 40m

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 stick butter, melted
1 box brownie mix, small--not family size
1 c coconut
1 c butterscotch chips
1 c chocolate chips
1 c chopped nuts (pecan, walnut, or almond)
1 can(s) sweetened condensed milk

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350. Spread melted butter over 9 x 13 pan. Evenly spread/sprinkle dry brownie mix(straight from the box!) over melted butter. Continute to spread/sprinkle each ingredient over brownie mix, in order listed. End with Sweetened Condensed Milk, drizzled over entire pan. Bake 35 minutes, or until bubbly around edges.
  • 2. Important--Allow to COOL COMPLETELY before cutting into bars. Very Rich!!! Needs ice cream to cut the sweetness.
