Quick and easy Balsamic Vinaigrette. I wanted a lower fat version so I experimented. It's great as a marinade too.

1/2 cup water
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
1 (2/3 ounce) package Good Seasonings Italian salad dressing mix
1/3 cup olive oil

Steps:

  • Pour all ingredients together in a glass jar with tight fitting lid or a salad dressing cruet.
  • Shake vigorously and serve.

1/3 cup low sodium chicken broth (or vegetable)
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

Steps:

  • Whisk together broth, balsamic vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  • Slowly pour in olive oil, whisking continuously until dressing is completely emulsified
  • Taste and season with salt and pepper. Pour into jar, seal and store in refrigerator. Serve over salad, grilled vegetables or meat . Shake well before serving

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 teaspoons dark brown sugar, optional* (See Cook's Note)
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
3/4 cup olive oil
Mesclun salad mix or favorite greens, for accompaniment
Assortment of salad ingredients, such as cherry tomatoes, chopped carrots, sliced red onion, chopped celery, diced cucumbers, walnuts
Blue cheese, for garnish
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 teaspoons dark brown sugar, optional* (See Cook's Note)
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
3/4 cup olive oil
