- Preheat oven to 450. Saute' sausage with the onion, 1/2 teaspoon fennel seed, oregano, basil and garlic. On the pizza crust spread a thin layer of mozzarella and a layer remaining items in this order, pizza sauce,sausage, diced tomatoes and kraut.
- Sprinkle remaining fennel seed over kraut, top with remaining mozzarella and sprinkle with parmeasan. Salt and pepper to taste. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes.
SAUERKRAUT PIZZA
One word " Delicious " I found this recipe in my local newspaper last year and made this New Years eve..my husband loved it.. You can use Sausage or Kielbasi..I used Kielbasi and I used Barvarian Kraut..soooo good! Enjoy!

- 1. Preheat oven at 450°.
- 2. Press pizza dough onto a lightly greased 14-in. round pizza pan. Sprinkled with cornmeal. Bake for 4 minutes. Set aside.
- 3. In a large skillet, cook the sausage or kielbasi, onion, 1 teaspoon fennel seed, oregano, basil, and garlic until the sausage is no longer pink and onion is tender. Drain.
- 4. Sprinkle crust with 1/2 cup Mozzarella or Swiss cheese. Spread with pizza sauce, sausage mixture, tomatoes, sauerkraut, and remaining fennel seed and mozzarella.
- 5. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake for 18-20 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting.

- Heat oven to 400°F Spray 12-inch pizza pan with CRISCO® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray. Unroll pizza crust dough on pan; press dough to edge of pan. Bake 8 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown. Brush preserves over dough; set aside.
- Spray 10-inch skillet with CRISCO® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray. Add sausage, onion and sauerkraut; cook over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally and breaking up sausage, until sausage is no longer pink. Remove sausage mixture with slotted spoon; spoon evenly over preserves on crust. Sprinkle cheese over top.
- Bake 13 to 19 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.

- Preheat oven to 425¡F. Heat oil in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and caraway seeds and sauté until onion just begins to brown, about 7 minutes. Transfer onion mixture to large bowl. Mix in sauerkraut and 1 tablespoon sauerkraut juice. Cool to lukewarm, then mix in cheese. Season generously with pepper.
- Place pizza crust on baking sheet. Spread with Dijon mustard and top with sausage, then sauerkraut mixture.
- Bake pizza until cheese melts, topping begins to brown and crust is crisp, about 15 minutes. Transfer pizza to work surface; cut into wedges and serve.
