PILGRIM SANDWICH
Yummy sandwich. I see this sandwich in a lot of restaurants in my hometown in Alaska, but I rarely see it in the lower 48. Sandwiches can be cut into 4 squares to serve at parties or brunches.

Steps:
- Spread outside of bread lightly with mayonnaise.
- Spread inside of bread with thousand island dressing.
- Equally divide turkey between 4 sandwiches.
- Equally divide cheese between 4 sandwiches.
- Put in frying pan, as you would fry a grilled cheese sandwich over medium heat.
- When toasted and cheese is melted, sandwich is ready to enjoy!

This is a knife and fork sandwich! Use your left over turkey slices to make a warm grilled sandwich. Yummm...

Steps:
- 1. Butter one side of 4 pieces of bread. Place on grill, butter-side-down. Cover with Thousand Island dressing. Lay 2 slices of cheese on each piece of bread in such a way as to cover the dressing. After bread is grilled, place in oven to finish melting the cheese.
- 2. Meanwhile, butter remaining 4 pieces of bread. Place on grill. Cover each with Thousand Island dressing. Cover each piece with 2 turkey slices, or more if desired. Lightly coat turkey with Thousand Island dressing. Grill until heated through. Remove from grill. Place the pieces with the melted cheese on top of the turkey, cheese-side-up.
PILGRIM'S SANDWICH SPREAD
This is an adaptation of a recipe originally attributed to PREM (a 1940's - 1950's) competitor of SPAM. The meat can be whatever you have leftover -roast beef, roast pork, ham, turkey, chicken, etc. Choose your cheese (cheddar, swiss, colby etc) to match your meat.

- Chop chicken (meat) in food processor.
- Grate carrots, celery and cheese.
- Chop onion and egg.
- Combine all ingredients with enough mayonnaise to bind, mixing well.
- Refrigerate for about four hours, then mix well again.
- Serve as sandwiches or on crackers.
