- Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute asparagus and onion in butter for 5-8 minutes or until asparagus is crisp-tender., Add the ham, cream, pepper and salt; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cook over low heat for 1 minute. Drain pasta. Add to the asparagus mixture; toss to coat. If desired, top with shredded Parmesan cheese.

- Place the chicken in a bowl and toss with 1 tablespoon of the Cajun seasoning.
- Heat oil in a 4-quart Dutch oven over high heat. Add chicken and sauté for 3 minutes.
- Add the bell pepper, celery, onions, jalapeno, garlic puree, bay leaf, oregano, dried basil, ground black and white peppers, red pepper flakes, cane syrup, granulated and brown sugars, and the remaining tablespoon of Cajun seasoning; cook for 10 minutes, or until vegetables are soft.
- Pour in the tomato sauce and crushed tomatoes and simmer an additional 5 minutes.
- Add the water, bring to a boil, reduce the heat to low, and simmer uncovered for 1 hour.
- Stir in the fresh parsley and basil; heat for 1 minute. Serve with grated cheese.

- 1. Bring carrots, orange zest, orange juice, apricots, lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, and cinnamon to a boil in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer, stirring occasionally, until carrots are nearly tender, 8 to 10 minutes.
- 2. Remove lid, increase heat to medium-high, and cook until liquid is reduced to 2 tablespoons, 1 to 2 minutes.
- 3. Add sugar and butter and cook, stirring frequently, until carrots are tender and glaze is thick and glossy, 1 to 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve.
