NUTTER BUTTER SANTAS RECIPE - (4.6/5)

Nutter Butter Santas Recipe - (4.6/5) image

Provided by AuntieGooper

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 package of Nutter Butter cookies
1 pound of white chocolate candies
Red sugar
Red hots candies or other small red candies
Mini chocolate chips
Wax paper

Steps:

  • Melt the white chocolate in the microwave. I suggest you put them in at 75% power and stir every 30 seconds until melted. I always do this in batches. I melt a batch for the hats and then one for the beards. Dip one end of each cookie in the white chocolate then cover with red sugar. Set aside to cool. Once cool, dip the edge of the other end in the white chocolate to make the beard. Using the white chocolate, place two mini chocolate chips for the eyes, a red hot for the nose, and add a drop for the pom-pom on the end of the hat. Let cool and you're ready to go!

Time 30m

Yield 6 cookies

Number Of Ingredients 7

6 peanut butter sandwich cookies, such as NutterButter
3/4 cup white candy melting wafers, melted
6 red mini candy-coated chocolates, such as M and M's
3 tablespoons red sanding sugar
2 tablespoons white nonpareils
6 pearl-size white sprinkles
12 round black sprinkles

Steps:

  • Dip one third of each peanut butter cookie into the melted white candy for the beard. Place a mini candy-coated chocolate in the middle of the peanut butter cookie for the nose, using the white chocolate to stick. Chill in the refrigerator until set, about 8 minutes.
  • Dip the opposite side of the peanut butter cookies one third of the way up in the melted white candy, leaving the middle of the peanut butter cookie untouched. Sprinkle with the red sanding sugar, leaving a small border for the brim of the hat. Sprinkle white nonpareils onto the border. Put a pearl-size white sprinkle on the red sanding sugar.
  • Put the remaining melted white candy into a piping bag fitted with a small round tip. Pipe 2 dots in the middle of the peanut butter cookies and then put a round black sprinkle on each dot for the eyes.
