CROCK POT® PARTY MEATBALLS
This is my most requested party recipe. People go crazy for these meatballs, and there is never a single one leftover at the end of a party or tailgate. The best part (aside from them being delicious) is that they are sooo easy to make!

PARTY MEATBALLS
You know that these will be a hit at your party, because they have the word "party" in the name. Millions of people in the 70s knew it wasn't a good time unless a chafing dish full of these meatballs was making an appearance. How many other dishes do you know that guarantee a good time?

Steps:
- For the meatballs: Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Line a sheet pan with aluminum foil, then place a wire rack over it.
- Grate the onion into a large bowl using a box grater. Add the ground beef and pork, tomato soup, panko, mustard powder, pepper, salt and minced garlic and knead together with your hands until thoroughly mixed. Use a tablespoon to help you make small meatballs, placing them close together but not touching on the prepared sheet pan. Bake until well browned, 15 to 20 minutes.
- For the sauce: Melt the butter a large saute pan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until soft and translucent, 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in the flour until no raw bits are visible, then continue cooking for another minute. Whisk in the beef stock 1/2 cup at a time, allowing it to thicken between each addition, then whisk in the grape jelly until smooth. Cook until the sauce begins to bubble, then add the graham cracker crumbs, ketchup and vinegar. Reduce the heat to medium-low and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly, 3 to 5 minutes.
- Add the meatballs to the saute pan and gently toss to coat. Cook for another 3 minutes, then transfer to a chafing dish. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve warm.

- Bake in the preheated oven until no longer pink in the center, 20 to 25 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
- While the meatballs are baking, make the glaze. Combine water, maple syrup, soup base, and cayenne pepper in a 10-inch, nonstick skillet over medium high heat. Bring to a boil and reduce heat slightly. Boil until reduced by half, 8 to 10 minutes.
- Remove glaze from heat and allow to cool. Use a rubber spatula to scrape down any syrup that clings to the sides of the skillet, and stir back into the glaze.
- Place meatballs in a serving dish and drizzle glaze over each meatball. Top with cooked, crumbled bacon and serve warm with toothpicks.

Steps:
- Drop meatballs and about 1/2 to 1 cup teriyaki sauce in a crock pot.
- Add red pepper flakes to taste (I like them hot so I add quite a bit!).
- Simmer for about 20 to 40 minutes (depending on the size of the meatballs, how hot your crockpot is). You can test one meatball by cutting into it; once it is cooked through, they are done!
- If you don't have a crockpot, you can do this over the stove, too! Just make sure you keep it on low and keep checking to make sure the meatballs don't burn on the bottom!
- Enjoy!

Steps:
- 1. In a bowl, mix thoroughly together cranberry sauce, chili sauce and garlic. You can use with or without cranberries.
- 2. Place meatballs in crockpot.
- 3. Pour sauce over meatballs.
- 4. This step should be adjusted to your crockpot cooking time. This one I used a new crockpot and it only took 1 hour (and it was boiling!). COOK: 1-1.5 hours on high, stirring once or twice.
- 5. Low for 1 hour - then warm.
- 6. Leftovers: great for meatball sandwiches with left over pasta sauce &melted/unmelted mozzarella cheese! Great for the next day lunch box also.
- 7. The twist is what the garlic brings to this recipe. One other spin I used was: 1 or 2 tablespoons of left over red pasta sauce (marinara, etc). It gives it a savory undertone.

Steps:
- Mix the ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, milk, egg, parsley, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire. Gently shape into 1-inch balls.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet and brown the meatballs. Or simply bake them in the oven on a cookie sheet until browned. Remove the meatballs, set aside and pour off the fat from the skillet. Pour the chili sauce and the grape jelly into the skillet and heat, stirring constantly. To kick it up replace with Kam's Hot Chili Sauce to taste. Return the meatballs to the skillet and simmer, uncovered for about 30 minutes. To keep warm place into a chafing or warming dish, or deposit the whole skillet into a crockpot and keep covered on low, checking occasionally to make sure that meatballs are not crumbling.
- Cook's Notes: Use Welch's grape jelly or Cranberry Sauce. This recipe works great with pre-cooked, frozen meatballs. Just eliminate all of the meatball ingredients in the recipe, warm the sauce as above, then stir in the frozen meatballs with the heated sauce. Simmer on low to warm the meatballs through well, about 20 minutes, gently stirring them several times, then transfer them to a crockpot to keep warm if you like.
- Frozen Meatballs in the Crockpot: Heat the sauce on the stovetop. Place frozen meatballs into the crockpot and follow the suggestion on the bag of your brand of meatballs for heating. Generally speaking you will need to allow about 3 hours for the meatballs to be ready to serve; about 2 hours on high, then another hour on low. Fresh cooked meatballs will only need to be held in the crockpot on low.
- Cocktail Sausages: Substitute a pound of cocktail sausages for the meatballs, eliminate all other ingredients except for the chili sauce and grape jelly.
MICHELLE'S DAD'S PARTY MEATBALLS
I got this recipe at my wedding shower and it is a great hit. DH isn't allowed to bring anything else to his potlucks at work and everyone looks for them at church potlucks too! Really easy, but really good! We prefer all beef meatballs, but that is just personal preference. Pepper jelly is good if you like a bit spicy. I often use all the little bits of jelly left in the fridge to equal 12oz. DH likes to use apricot jelly the best. If you have any leftover, they are great over noodles.
