OLD FASHIONED CREAM PIE
Beat the heck out of the ingredients and watch baking time. One hour usually does it. I don't know where I got this recipe, but I've had it a long time. I think it's great!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Place sugar, egg, half and half, flour, whipping cream, and butter or margarine in blender. Beat until thoroughly combined. Pour into pie shell and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Bake in preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes, until set in center.

This is from "Home Cooking with Dave's Mom" pg. 166-167. Dave's Mom writes: "I concocted this recipe by taking the best ingredients and suggestions from three differnt sugar cream pie recipes. I've had it for years and the whole family likes it."

Steps:
- 1. In a small bowl mix sugars, flour & salt. Gradually stir in heavy cream.
- 2. Pour into pie shell and sprinkle with grated nutmeg.
- 3. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees, bake for 20-25 minutes longer.
- 4. NOTE: Center of pie will be slightly runny when done.

- In a two-quart bowl, mix the first 4 ingredients together.
- Fold the beaten egg whites in until all are well mixed.
- Pour into unbaked pie shell of 9inch pan.
- Sprinkle nutmeg on top and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
- When taken from oven, filling will seem a little shaky, but when cooled, will be creamy.
- Prep time does not include making pie crust.

- 1. In a medium bowl, cut shortening into flour, sugar, and salt until the mix looks like cornmeal or small peas.
- 2. In another bowl, slightly beat egg yolk and combine with milk and lemon juice. Add to flour mixture and mix by hand until it forms ball.
- 3. Roll on well-floured pastry cloth with well-floured rolling pin. This pastry maintains its flaky qualities even after being rolled out a number of times.
