1 bottle (1 liter) club soda or ginger ale
1 pint ice cream

Steps:

  • Pour 1/2 cup club soda into each of four tall glasses. Add 1/2 cup ice cream to each glass. Fill glasses with soda. Serve immediately.

3 tablespoons chocolate syrup
1 cup vanilla ice cream (or 1 large scoop)
club soda (cold) or seltzer water (cold)
canned whipped cream (optional)

Steps:

  • Pour the milk into one tall 16-ounce glass.
  • Stir in syrup.
  • Add in ice cream and enough soda water or selzer to fill almost to top of glass.
  • Top with whipped cream if desired.
  • Serve with a long spoon and a big straw.
