3 cups Cheerios
3 cups mixed nuts
2 cups Goldfish cheddar crackers
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Greek seasoning

Steps:

  • Combine Cheerios, nuts and crackers in a 4- or 5-qt. slow cooker. Whisk together butter, Worcestershire sauce and Greek seasoning. Pour over cereal mixture; toss to coat., Cook, covered, on high 1 hour, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to low; cook until crisp, 30-45 minutes longer, stirring frequently. Spread onto a baking sheet to cool. Store in an airtight container.

1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup Jif® Creamy Peanut Butter or Jif® Creamy Peanut Butter & Honey
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
4 cups honey and nut breakfast cereal
1 cup mixed nuts
1 cup mini pretzels
Cayenne pepper, to taste (optional)

Steps:

  • HEAT oven to 350 degrees F. Line rimmed baking sheet with foil.
  • COMBINE butter, peanut butter, vanilla and cinnamon in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH (100% power) 35 to 45 seconds, stirring until well blended.
  • COMBINE cereal, mixed nuts and pretzels in large bowl. Pour butter mixture over cereal mixture. Toss well to coat. Spread mixture evenly on foiled baking sheet.
  • BAKE 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool. Sprinkle lightly with cayenne pepper, if desired. Toss. Store in resealable food storage bag.

5 cups frosted mini wheats bite size size cereal
1 1/2 cups small pretzels
1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts
2 tablespoons margarine
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
1 cup raisins

Steps:

  • In medium bowl, measure mini wheats, pretzels, and peanuts; set aside.
  • In a large microwave safe bowl, heat margarine, corn syrup, and peanut butter on HIGH for 30 seconds.
  • Stir until smooth.
  • Add cereal mixture and toss gently until evenly coated.
  • Microwave on HIGH a total of 5 minutes, stirring well after 2 and 4 minutes
  • (use caution, mixture will be hot).
  • Remove cereal mixture from microwave and mix in raisins (use caution, mixture will be hot).
  • Spread on waxed paper-lined baking sheet.
  • When completely cool, store in airtight container.
  • Variations:
  • PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY: Prepare as above through step 3.
  • Remove from microwave and stir in raisins.
  • Sprinkle 1 tbsp dry regular strawberry gelatin over hot cereal mixture, tossing gently.
  • Spread on waxed paper-lined baking sheet.
  • When completely cooled store in airtight container.
  • TROPICAL FRUIT: Prepare as above through step 3, adding 2 tbsp sesame seeds with cereal.
  • Remove from microwave.
  • Omit raisins and stir in 1 package (7 oz) dried tropical fruit medley chopped fruit.
  • Spread on waxed paper-lined baking sheet.
  • When completely cooled, store in airtight container.

1 1/2 cups small pretzels twists
1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts
2 tablespoons margarine
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup raisins

Steps:

  • 1. In medium bowl, measure KELLOGG'S MINI-WHEATS Frosted Bite Size cereal, pretzels and peanuts. Set aside.2. In large microwave-safe bowl, heat margarine, corn syrup and peanut butter on HIGH for 30 seconds. Stir until smooth. Add cereal mixture and toss gently until evenly coated. 3. Microwave on HIGH a total of 5 minutes, stirring well after 2 and 4 minutes. Use caution, mixture will be hot.4. Remove cereal mixture from microwave and mix in raisins. 1 12-oz. box(es) crispix cereal
1 5-oz. package(s) slivered almonds*, toasted
1 6-oz. package(s) pecan halves*, toasted
- *or substitute an equal amount of mixed nuts
¾ cup(s) butter (do not use margarine)
¾ cup(s) dark corn syrup
1½ cup(s) light brown sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250°F. Lightly grease a large roasting pan; set aside.
  • In large bowl, mix cereal and toasted nuts; set aside.
  • In medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter; stir in dark corn syrup and light brown sugar.
  • Pour sauce over cereal/nut mixture; stir to coat evenly. Pour coated mixture into perpared roasting pan.
  • Bake 1 hour in preheated oven, stirring every 15 minutes or so.
  • Spread on wax paper to cool completely. Break into chunks; store in airtight container.

This toasty mix from our Test Kitchen is a little spicy, and a whole lot of tasty! Make it for that long car ride to grandma's house, or for the New Years party. No matter when you serve it, this mix will be a hit!

2 cups Multi-Bran Chex
2 cups Wheat Chex
1 cup Cheerios
1 cup unblanched almonds
1 cup pecan halves
1/4 cup reduced-fat butter, melted
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons paprika
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
4 to 6 drops hot pepper sauce
1/2 cup dried cranberries

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the cereal and nuts. Spread into 2 ungreased 15x10x1-in. baking pans. In a small bowl, combine the butter, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, paprika, onion powder and pepper sauce; pour over cereal mixture and toss to coat. , Bake at 300° for 20 minutes, stirring once. Stir in cranberries. Cool completely. Store in airtight containers.
