BBQ SPICED NUTS



BBQ Spiced Nuts image

Number Of Ingredients 15

1 large egg white
2 to 3 tablespoons Eddie's BBQ Rub (recipe follows)
2 to 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 cup roasted unsalted almonds
1 cup roasted unsalted cashews
Sugar, for sprinkling
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup smoked paprika
3 tablespoons kosher salt
2 tablespoons white pepper
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon celery seeds
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil. Whisk the egg white in a medium bowl until foamy. Stir in the spice rub and maple syrup. Add the almonds and cashews and toss to coat.
  • Spread the nut mixture on the prepared baking sheet and sprinkle with a little sugar. Roast until golden brown, stirring halfway through, 30 to 35 minutes. Let cool 15 to 30 minutes. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.

1 1/2 cups honey-roasted peanuts
1 cup salted roasted almonds
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 tablespoon sweet paprika
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • Whisk 1 egg white in a large bowl until frothy. Add the nuts and stir until evenly coated. Add the spice mix and toss to coat. Spread the nuts in a single layer on the prepared

2 to 3 tablespoons favorite BBQ rub
2 to 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1/2 cup unsalted raw almonds
1/2 cup unsalted raw cashews
Sugar, for sprinkling

Steps:

  • Position an oven rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 325 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Whisk the egg white in a bowl until foamy. Add the BBQ rub and syrup and mix until combined. Add the almonds and cashews to the bowl and mix.
  • Spread the nut mixture on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle with a little sugar and cook on the middle rack until golden brown, stirring halfway, 20 to 25 minutes. Let cool for 15 to 30 minutes. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.

3/4 cup orange juice
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
2 tablespoons finely chopped onions
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and whisk.
  • Bring to boil over high heat, then reduce temperature to low and simmer 10 minutes Cool to room temperature.
