1 cup sliced green onions
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 can (4 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1/2 cup chopped ripe olives
1/2 cup chopped pimiento-stuffed olives
1 loaf (1 pound) snack rye bread

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine the onions, cheeses, mayonnaise, mushrooms and olives. Spread on bread slices and place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes or until bubbly.

1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
2 tablespoons mayonnaise, not Miracle Whip
1/3-1/2 cup black olives, finely chopped
2 tablespoons onions, finely chopped
rye bread (party cocktail or sandwich slices)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Mix cheese, olives, onions, and mayonnaise (just enough mayo to get to spreading consistency).
  • Spread mixture on slices of rye bread (not too thin).
  • Place bread on baking sheet and bake in hot oven until cheese melts, about 5 -7 minutes.
  • Devour! But be careful -- it will singe the roof of your mouth if you're not careful. (;.

1 package package string cheese
2 cups Panko Bread Crumbs
2 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp parsley
1 cup milk
1 cup all-purpose flour
Marinara Sauce ((homemade or store bought))
Oil for frying

Steps:

  • Cut string cheese into 1" pieces
  • Prepare coating process by pouring milk in a bowl and setting aside. Put 1 cup flour in a plastic bag and in another bag add 2 cups panko, mixed with seasonings.
  • Place cheese in milk, one handful at a time.
  • Toss into your flour bag and shake well.
  • Put cheese back into your milk bowl and coat completely.
  • Toss in panko bag and shake until evenly coated.
  • Place mozzarella bites on a plate or in a bag and freeze for at least 2 hours.
  • Heat up oil on medium heat. Fry in hot oil until golden brown. Be sure to take them out of the oil before they get too hot or cheese will ooze out of breading.
  • Serve warm with marinara sauce. ENJOY!

2 pounds lean ground beef (90% lean)
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup saltine cracker crumbs
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup chopped onion
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 can (8 ounce) pizza sauce
3 slices part-skim mozzarella cheese, halved
Green pepper rings, optional
Sliced mushrooms, optional
2 tablespoons butter, optional
Chopped fresh parsley, optional

Steps:

  • Combine beef, eggs, crumbs, milk, Parmesan cheese, onion, salt and oregano, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Shape into a loaf and place in a greased 9x5-in. loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 1-1/4 hours or until no pink remains; drain. , Spoon pizza sauce over loaf and top with mozzarella cheese slices. return to oven for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted. , Meanwhile, if desired, saute green pepper and mushrooms in butter; arrange on top of meat loaf. 1 ½ cups panko bread crumbs, divided
1 pound lean ground beef
2 large eggs
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced, divided
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
3 medium onions, chopped
1 tablespoon butter
1 (8 ounce) package baby bella mushrooms, chopped
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 splash red wine, such as Cabernet Sauvignon
4 slices mozzarella cheese
8 slices rye bread

Steps:

  • Place 1/2 cup bread crumbs on a plate. Combine remaining bread crumbs with ground beef, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, and 1/2 of the garlic in a large bowl. Mix well and form into 4 large balls. Place each ball in the bread crumbs and press to flatten and coat burgers on each side.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and remaining garlic and cook until browned, 5 to 7 minutes. Reduce heat to low, add butter and mushrooms, and season with salt and pepper. Add red wine and cook for 5 minutes more.
  • Meanwhile, heat remaining oil in another skillet over medium-low heat. Add burgers, cover, and cook until bread crumbs on the bottom have turned a nice brown color, 5 to 7 minutes. Flip, add a slice of mozzarella cheese to each burger, cover, and cook until no longer pink in the center, 5 to 7 minutes more. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
  • Place each burger on a slice of rye bread, cover with mushroom-onion mixture, and top with remaining bread.
