This chex mix is perfect for parties because it makes a ton! You could even put it into single-serving bags and take for a classroom party.

Number Of Ingredients 8

5 ounces pretzels
2 ½ cups Honey Nut Cheerios
2 ½ cups Corn Chex ((Honey Nut Chex also work great))
1 cup peanuts
2 cups M & M's chocolate candies ((or any kind of M&M's; about a 12 ounce bag))
1 ½ cups Candy Corn
2 cups white chocolate chips ((12 ounce bag))
1 ½ Tablespoons vegetable oil

Steps:

  • In a VERY large bowl (or two medium bowls), combine the first 6 ingredients. Set aside.
  • In a microwave safe bowl, heat white chips and oil on high for 60 seconds (you could also melt chocolate and oil in a double boiler pan).
  • Stir and microwave for another 30 seconds and stir until completely melted and smooth (you may need to microwave for a couple more seconds).
  • Pour melted chocolate over cereal mix and stir until all the cereal is evenly covered with white chocolate.
  • Spread cereal mix on 2 large baking sheets (I used cookie sheets) lined with wax paper.
  • Let cool and then break apart into chunks.
  • Store in an airtight container.

Blueberry-Vanilla Monster Cereal Treats image

6 tablespoons unsalted butter, plus more for the pan and your hands
1/2 cup freeze-dried blueberries, plus more for decorating
1 10-ounce bag mini marshmallows
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
6 cups crispy rice cereal
3 ounces white chocolate, chopped
Candy eyeballs, for decorating

Steps:

  • Line an 8-inch square baking pan with foil or two crossed strips of parchment paper and lightly butter the foil or parchment. Grind the freeze-dried blueberries in a food processor until fine.
  • Melt the butter in a large wide pot over medium heat. Add the marshmallows and cook, stirring, until almost completely melted. Add the ground blueberries, vanilla and salt and stir until the blueberries are dissolved and the marshmallows are purple. Remove from the heat; add the rice cereal in two batches, stirring to coat.
  • Pour the cereal mixture into the pan. Lightly butter your hands and press the mixture into an even layer. Set aside to cool completely.
  • Put the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave, stirring every 20 seconds, until smooth; let cool.
  • Use the foil or parchment to lift the treats out of the pan and cut into 12 bars. Using a small offset spatula or spoon, spread the white chocolate on top of each bar, covering about half. Add 2 candy eyeballs to each. Grind more freeze-dried blueberries to use as hair. Let stand until set, about 30 minutes.

NO-BAKE MONSTER CEREAL POPS



No-Bake Monster Cereal Pops image

These mini monsters are made with a marshmallow and cereal mixture and dipped in chocolate for an added layer of flavor.

1/2 cup butter
1 bag (10 oz) miniature marshmallows
8 cups desired monster cereal (such as Boo Berry®, Frankenberry®, Count Chocula®, Yummy Mummy™ and/or Frute Brute™)
30 paper lollipop sticks
24 oz vanilla-flavored candy coating (almond bark), chopped
Pink, purple, blue and/or green neon liquid food color
Multicolored candy sprinkles
60 candy eyes

Steps:

  • Spray 30 mini muffin cups with cooking spray.
  • In large microwavable bowl, microwave butter and marshmallows uncovered on High about 2 minutes, stirring after each minute, until mixture is smooth. Stir in cereal until evenly coated. Spoon mixture by heaping tablespoonfuls into muffin cups. Insert paper lollipop stick into each cup, forming cereal mixture around stick.
  • Refrigerate at least 1 hour or until cereal mixture is completely set. Carefully remove pops from muffin cups.
  • Dip and decorate half of the pops at a time: In 1-quart microwavable bowl, microwave 12 oz of the candy coating uncovered on High 1 minute 30 seconds; stir. Continue microwaving and stirring in 15-second increments until melted; stir until smooth. Color melted candy coating with liquid food color of choice. Dip part of each cereal treat pop into melted candy coating to partially cover with coating. Immediately sprinkle with candy sprinkles. Place on waxed paper-lined cookie sheet. Melt remaining candy coating; color as desired. Dip remaining pops, and sprinkle with candy sprinkles. Allow to set until candy coating is completely hard, about 1 hour.
  • Use remaining candy coating to attach 1 or 2 candy eyes to each pop.

1 cup Cheerios
1 cup Bugles
1 cup pretzel sticks
1 cup salted peanuts
2/3 cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons celery salt
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Drizzle over cereal mixture; toss to coat., Transfer to two greased 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Bake at 250° for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Cool completely on wire racks. Store in an airtight container.
