Steps:
- place one can of cherry pie filling in the bottom or a 9 x 13 cake pan (or can use a smaller pan) . In a large bowl, combine one yellow cake mix, and the melted margarine, (nothing else, just those two ingredients). Mix well, will be a little dry and crumbly. dot cake mixture on top of pie filling as evenly as possible. place in oven and bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes.
- This recipe can also be made in a crock pot on low for 2-3 hours.

- Place filling in a slow cooker.
- Combine dry cake mix and butter (mixture will be crumbly); sprinkle over filling.
- Sprinkle with walnuts if desired.
- Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours.
- Serve in bowls.

- 1. Put pie filling in the bottom of your crock pot. (must have the tall crock pot, it doesn't work in the larger round ones)
- 2. Combine dry cake mix and butter. (mixture will be crumbly)
- 3. Sprinke cake mixture over pie filling.
- 4. Sprinkle with nuts. (you can also use brown sugar and cinnamon instead of nuts)
- 5. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours.
