MILKY WAY BALLS

Milky Way Balls image

These are similar to Rice Krispie Treats--in ball form-- only these are all chocolate and appear to have been on steroids! I LOVE Milky Ways and I found this recipe on a chocolatier supplier site. I was so excited by the whimsy of this recipe that I made these right away and knew I had to share! *Yield varies depending on how big or small you shape these.*

MILKY WAY BAR CRISPY TREATS

Milky Way Bar Crispy Treats image

My kids and husband love these and well, so do I! Every time I make these I think I eat 1/2 of them while cutting into squares! I usually cut smaller pieces as these are sweeter than original treats. Best part is only 3 ingredients! I buy the candy bars when on sale and freeze them for baking later.

Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 3

5 regular sized milky way bars
1/4 c butter, room temperature
4 c rice crispy cereal, your favorite

Steps:

  • 1. Spray a 8x8 dish with non stick spray. Place the crispy cereal in a heat proof bowl and set aside. Chop candy bars into pieces
  • 2. Put butter and candy bar pieces into a small saucepan over low heat. Mix the butter and candy until melted and blended. The mixture should be creamy and smooth. Do not turn up the heat or you will scorch the chocolate. Remove from heat.
  • 3. Pour 3/4 of the melted chocolate and butter mixture over the cereal and stir with 2 large spoons to coat adding the remaining chocolate after the first initial one or two stirs. Stir until you get as many cereal pieces coated as possible.
  • 4. Evenly press mixture into your prepared pan. Let cool. Cut into pieces and enjoy
