- Adjust the oven racks to divide the oven in half. Preheat oven to 400°F Spray nonstick baking sheet with nonstick spray.
- On a sheet of wax paper, combine the flour, salt, and pepper. Place the breadcrumbs on another sheet of wax paper. Place the egg substitute in a shallow dish.
- Coat each double onion ring on both sides with flour mixture, shaking off the excess; dip the onion in the egg, then coat lightly with the bread crumbs. Arrange the rings on the baking sheet and spray the tops with nonstick spray.
- Bake on the top oven rack until browned, 10 minutes. Turn carefully and bake until browned, 5 minutes.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Spray two cookie sheets with non-stick spray.
- Wisk together egg whites and sour cream.
- Add onion rings and turn to coat.
- Combine remaining ingredients in small bowl.
- Sprinkle over onions & toss to coat.
- Spread onion on baking sheet & coat with cooking spray.
- Bake until tender & golden, 40-45 minute.

- Place onions in a shallow dish. Pour the buttermilk over the top and let them soak for about 1 to 2 hours refrigerated.
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line baking dish with foil or parchment paper. Add panko crumbs, bread crumbs and corn flakes and place half the crumbs in a large dish, season with salt. Reserve the rest for when the first batch is used up. This should help avoid clumping and help to stick to the onions.
- Dip each soaked onion ring into the crumb mixture; coat well. Place rings onto two cookie sheets. Lightly spray with oil. Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately.
