These biscuits turn out buttery, delicious, and all-around amazing! Best part of all, they weigh in at about 1 net carb per biscuit. One of my best low carb recipes to date!

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/4 cup butter, melted and slightly cooled
1/3 cup sifted coconut flour
4 eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Line a cookie sheet with foil, and grease.
  • Whisk together eggs, butter, salt, and garlic powder.
  • Add coconut flour and baking powder and whisk until there are no lumps.
  • Fold in cheese.
  • Drop batter by the 1.5 oz (ice cream) scoop onto greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  • Let cool in pan for 5-10 minutes before removing and serving. Make sure that biscuits are completely cool before storage or they won't stay crisp.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 lb bulk sausage ( i use jimmy dean hot )
4 oz softened cream cheese
1/3 c coconut flour - i don't see why almond flour wouldn't work...i will try that next and update how they turned out
3 eggs, beaten
1 c fresh shredded cheddar cheese. i always shred my own from a block of cheese
1/2 tsp baking powder

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray baking sheet with olive or avocado oil or line with parchment paper. Gather ingredients. Sausage is in skillet browning. LOL
  • 2. Brown and crumble sausage until cooked through in med skillet over medium heat, stirring often. Drain sausage in colander over a bowl.
  • 3. Add sausage to a med bowl and cool for toughly 5 min. Add cream cheese, eggs, flour, cheese and baking powder. I use my hands to mix thoroughly.
  • 4. Measure out 1/4 cup of biscuit mixture and roll into ball in hands. Drop onto prepared sheet.
  • 5. Bake for 40 minutes or until golden. Enjoy warm or cold. Freeze well too! Per biscuit - 2g Net Carbs 3g Total Carbs 1g Fiber 16g Fat 9g Protein 196 Calories

How to make Low Carb Cheddar Biscuits

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 cups almond flour
1 tsp salt
1 tbs baking powder
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 stick of butter, melted
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Pre heat oven to 350. Spray pan with non stick spray. Mix dry almond flour, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl. Add cream cheese, butter, and eggs. Mix until just combined. Fold in cheddar cheese.
  • Portion biscuits with an ice cream scoop. Bake for 23-25 minutes.
