LAYERED TACO DIP WITH MEAT

Steps:
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; season with 1 package taco seasoning mix. Drain and discard grease. Let beef cool completely.
- Stir sour cream, cream cheese, and remaining taco seasoning mix together in a bowl until smooth.
- Spread sour cream mixture onto a baking sheet to cover. Sprinkle about half the Cheddar cheese over the sour cream layer; top evenly with the ground beef, lettuce, and remaining Cheddar cheese, respectively. Spoon salsa over the dip.
- Refrigerate at least 1 hour.

- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Brown hamburger and drain.
- Stir in can of refried beans, chili powder, cumin, and taco sauce. Mixing until mixed well together. Spread hamburger and beans mixture on the bottom of the 9x13 baking dish.
- Sprinkle 3/4 cup of tomatos, 1/2 cup of onions, one can of sliced black olives, and jalepenos (optional) on top of the meat mixture. Covering well.
- Sprinkle a good amount of the taco shredded seasoned cheese on top of the tomatos, onions, black olives, and jalepenos. Covering well.
- Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven and let stand for 5 - 7 minutes or until cooled.
- Layer the top with a good amount of sour cream. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese and green onions on top of the sour cream.
- Serve.
- Next day reheating:.
- Put a little on a plate and reheat up in sections you are eating. 15-17 seconds in the microwave lets the meat mixture be warm and leaves the sour stil cool! YUM!

I took a recipe I found in a cook book for taco dip and another for ranch dip and made my own dip from it. This is wonderful and the ranch dressing gives this recipe a great kick. You could also serve this as a meal by adding 1 lb cooked ground beef on top of the refried beans.

- 1. Cook the sausage thoroughly; break up into small pieces while it's cooking. Sausage should be in small crumbles when finished cooking.
- 2. In a bowl mix the Taco Seasoning packet with the Sour Cream; blend well. In another bowl, mash the avocados and mix with the Lime Juice. Drain the can of black beans and tomatoes, separately. I use two strainers and let sit over the sink while the sausage is cooking.
